Schnitzel Set

  1. Crumb your Schnitzel to order: You will need three containers or plates big enough to place the chicken breast in
  2. Flatten the marinated chicken breast and slightly put pressure on it to flatten it a bit
  3. Crack the eggs and whisk them in a bowl big enough for the chicken breast
  4. In a second container/plate dust with the flour evenly
  5. In a third container/plate spread out the breadcrumbs evenly
  6. Place the chicken now into the flour so the flour completely covers the chicken on both sides evenly
  7. Now place the chicken breast into the egg mix and completely cover both sides with it
  8. Make sure there is not too much egg mix on the meat
  9. Place the Chicken into the breadcrumbs and carefully apply pressure on the meat on both sides
  10. Pre heat oven to 180 degrees
  11. Turn on pan to medium high heat and coat with approx. 1 cm of vegetable or canola oil
  12. Once oil in pan is hot, place schnitzel in pan and fry for approx. 5 mins each side or until crunchy, you can test to see if the oil is hot enough by putting a wooden spoon in the oil, if it bubbles, it’s ready.
  13. Transfer schnitzel to oven and cook for 5 minutes or until cooked through (if you have a thermometer probe place it in the thickest part of the Schnitzel. Needs to be 70 degrees Celsius. The meat should be completely white once thoroughly cooked.
  14. Best served with mash potato and Bavarian mayonnaise
